GEO for Wix

Wix serves core content server-side but builds many elements in the browser. For AI crawlers, what counts is what is in the HTML without JavaScript.

Checking the rendering

Open a Wix page with JavaScript disabled or look at the source. If body text and headings are missing there, most AI crawlers see an almost empty page. Wix has improved server-side rendering over the years — you shouldn't rely on it.

robots.txt and meta

Wix generates the robots.txt automatically and allows editing in the SEO area. Maintain title and meta description per page in the Wix SEO panel; the automatic sitemap is at /sitemap.xml.

Structured data

Wix sets basic JSON-LD for some page types. The built-in tools often aren't enough for author, organisation with sameAs and article metadata — then add it via a custom code injection in the head.
